Hello future dedicated readers! This is my first entry on my new blog and I'm super excited. I recently started reading blogs of many healthy lifestyle bloggers and have been truly inspired by all their entries. It's so easy to forget the small changes and progress that is present in my life each day, so what better way to remember than to chronicle my own journey? Also, what better motivation to get things done than to know I'm being held responsible for my actions? I will have dedicated and loyal readers that will be checking my blog each day to see if my projects and tasks are being completed! That's motivation to me, baby!
In addition to the changes I'm making in my physical health, I'm also working on building a structured lifestyle that defines who I am and who I want to be. So often we get caught up in life and never feel like we are accomplishing the things we want to do. For example, I love to read but I never do because I don't make time for it. I'll be writing about these changes in my life as well.
You may look forward to the following future events in great anticipation (I imagine this as a fast paced slide-show, such as in a movie trailer. Think about the music.. boom! boom! boom!):
Watch me on my constant struggle to become organized,
tackle to-do lists,
try and write new recipes,
add variety to my life by trying new things,
impact other's lives as I start to volunteer,
and mostly work towards living the life I WANT instead of the life I find myself living.
Of course all while I exercise like a fiend, eat healthy foods and accomplish the goals I set for myself.
My entire life I attempted to blend myself in with the crowd and be "normal" and "perfect" (I'm OBSESSED with this idea of being "perfect"). I've recently have started to realize that perfection is just a mindset, not anything attainable. I've also decided that I no longer want to be a follower - I want to be the example. I want to move past the perfection mindset and become the person that I want to be - who is NOT perfect but who is happy. I will set goals for myself and tell myself nothing is impossible or too ridiculous. Of course, I also hope to inspire others to pursue their interests and make/achieve their own goals - just like I will do. My intention is for you, my readers, to leave this blog feeling inspired and motivated to make changes in your own lives.
And if you don't, I don't care because I no longer will let the anxiety of what other people think about me matter! (sorry just needed to throw that in as I pump my fist in the air strongly!)
I'm really excited and I imagine all of you are as well (right??).
Welcome to the inside of my head, where all the craziest and most outlandish thoughts are kept!

I am SO happy that you started this L- I am officially your first fan and can't wait to read about your journey. I LOVE the part about living the life you WANT to live instead of the life you find yourself living. We all need to pay a little more attention to that.
ReplyDeleteIt's sooo important to start living the life we want to live vs. the life that we just keep on living. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great first post! I used to be obsessed with perfection until I realized it doesn't exist!
